
Ingredients
2 lbs pork roast (shoulder or loin)
1 onion, diced
3 cups chicken broth
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
12 oz egg noodles
1 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
Place the pork roast in the slow cooker.
Add diced onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chicken broth.
Cover and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours, until the pork is very tender.
Remove the pork and shred it with two forks.
Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker.
Add the egg noodles and stir gently.
Cook on HIGH for about 20–25 minutes until the noodles are tender.
Stir in the butter and sour cream until creamy and well combined.
Serve warm and enjoy this hearty Amish comfort meal.
